Tiny Perfusion Letter

We owe you an apology…

(Or maybe not? This is all voluntary and not-for-profit, exactly the reason why we haven’t heavily monetized this much-appreciated newsletter: we can do whatever we want)

We haven’t produced a TPL in a while, and that is all because of being busy (not just the daily busy, but the incredibly insane what-do-I-do-first, hyperbusy… (it was so busy, hyperbusy isn’t even in the dictionary)

That means articles have been piling up and we are really wanting to catch up

You’ll be getting a few TPLs that are longer than usual, but the premise is the same: you only read what you like, it might be a little more than usual

If you don’t feel like reading, here’s a great survey that we would like to promote, from Dr Tony Shackelford, CCP at MUSC:

“We’ve been running a longitudinal perfusion practice survey since 2004. Four waves now — 2004, 2006, 2011, and 2026. The goal has always been the same: document how perfusion practice actually evolves over time, what perfusionists are actually doing at the bedside. Prime volumes, circuit configuration, blood conservation strategies, ECMO responsibility, GDP adoption, cannula selection — the real picture. The survey takes about 7 minutes, it’s completely anonymous, and you can take the survey here”
